Analysis of Stalagmite Heart
Kept from me no longer
The understanding in his loins
The breath
that ignites the fire within.
Kindling.
Was I sleep walking so long?
You flipped the ship.
Fear
constrained me.
But your spirit
went before you,
Showing me
who you are.
Character formed
By genuine,
radical, love.
Forged through the fire.
Dripping in gold.
I receive it
Breathlessly
Washing.
My arms open.
What I feared,
I released
Because
You are worthy of trust.
And as I opened my eyes,
The flat plains of my heart
Transformed.
Stalagmite Pillars
stairways
reaching
Formed from waves
you drip

About this poem
This poem is about an intimate relationship with God. The power of spirit working within us, knowing us wholeheartedly, and loving us. The relationship with Christ is likened to a bride. Becoming one. Intimacy on the deepest level. It is based off of a dream I had where God demonstrated his power to me by flipping a humongous ship, the transition of my feelings from fear to trust, and the transformation of my heart.
