Analysis of Dream Poems

Submerged in slumber
Lying in my room,

Words interact
Ideas zoom,
Constantly shifting
Mercurial moods.

Fresh combinations
Avoiding mundane.
Hot nights of jazz
Cool horns swing with ease,

Prisms of dreams
Dazzle my mind,
Unlikely phrases
Intimate rhymes,

Got out of bed,
I was alone
Creating poems
Before dreams had flown.

About this poem

This is about the time I am inspired to write somewhere before I am truly awake and truly asleep. Poems come to me at this time and I get up to capture them.
