Analysis of Falling
You step inside my solitude
and pull up a chair,
refusing to allow me
such a large space
all to myself.
I wince and twitch and jerk away.
Did I tell you that I stutter?
Why do you care what I wear underneath?
Baring it all
causes my teeth to chatter,
but hefty padding insulates
from noises that sound
and resound
through sleepless nights.
It takes such effort to push you
past my borders, but
too many sideways glances
may grant you trespass.
