Analysis of The Orange Dress

Luis A. Estable 1958 (Oriente, Cuba)

You slip it on each Sunday
When dear spring has sprung
Its variegated flowers.
The orange silky dress
That mixes with your creamy skin
Giving splendid picture
Of striking orange and snowy white
That combine to form a sublime
Ornament upon your body.

You who are so young now
And have a magnificent wardrobe,
The finest money can buy.
Your beauteous cotton blouses,
Your fitting flannel pants.
But the orange silky dress
Stirs my heart
And takes my mind
Each time I see on your female body.

The Sundays in the spring
After the flowers have sprung are sublime to me
For that's when the orange silky dress ends up
Upon your youthful body,
And every time the effect
Brings to my eyes an exciting look
Wrapped up in so much meaning.

My eyes meet heaven
That is the fair coloration
The orange silky dress
Gives to your body
Complementing your lily skin.

Ah, the orange silky dress on Sunday
When spring has sprung the various flowers.
