Analysis of Boat on the Ocean
I am a boat on the ocean,
Stuck on the waves of life without a location.
Broken compass, broken sails
Being laughed at by the whales.
The storm beats me everyday,
I can live but only if I find my way.
How do I navigate out of this storm?
I feel so weak, I feel so worn.
The waves make me sick; up, down, up, down,
Might be better to let myself drown.
Oh! Look! Land in the distance!
Oh…It’s a mirage, the water mockingly glistens.
I am a boat on the ocean,
I need help but I have no flare gun.
Broken compass, Broken sails,
My skin is torn from splinters and nails.
I keep sinking…sinking…sinking…
But I can’t help thinking…thinking…thinking…
How could I have prevented this?

About this poem
The first poem I wrote when I really started to get into poetry. I was really depressed and looking for a way to relieve the stress. Here's to a new start.
