Analysis of The Night Was A Symphony

Joe Strickland 1986 (Hobbysville, SC)

The sky, wearing a cloak of black velvet,
 was adorned with twinkling stars.
The moon, a glowing orb suspended in mid air,
cast its ethereal light upon the world below.
The trees, silhouetted against the night sky,
swayed gently in the breeze,
whispering secrets to each other.

The air was full of the scent
of wildflowers
and the sound of crickets
singing their lullabies.
It was a moment frozen in time,
where the beauty of the world stood still
and the universe seemed to hold its breath.

The world was a canvas
painted with the colors of the night,
where the shadows danced
and the souls of nature sang.
It was a moment of magic
where anything seemed possible
and the impossible became a reality.

The night was a symphony,
where the stars, the moon, and the trees
all played their part.
It was an ode
 to the beauty of life,
a celebration of the wonder
of creation.

And in that moment,
surrounded by the magnificence of the universe,
 I felt truly alive.
 I marveled at the majesty
of the night
and embraced the magic of the moment,
knowing that it would stay with me forever.

I'm just a regular, blue collar, working stiff who took an interest in writing poetry many years ago but until recently I haven't had a desire to share any with anyone or pursue publication. I'm an unpublished fork lift operator by night, and a day drinker by choice. I can be followed on Twitter @JoeStricklandSC more…
