Analysis of In the Midst

In The Midst
By Nancy Rodriquez

In the midst of my missing you,
I have heard every cliche there is,
and in everything I do,
there seems to be something amiss,
I have not wavered, or planned to disappear,
you are the reason I know what love means,
and though our breakup is almost a year,
our love has been quiet, and not seen,
I have poured everything I know into you,
desperate to make things work,
I have not accepted we are through,
or have gotten past all this hurt,
and I know the things which angered you too,
I am entitled to make mistakes,
instead of allowing me to explain, you ran away,
and this was not fair to us at all,
and we have had nobody to catch us after the fall,
I pray we find one another again.
