Analysis of For a Good Night's Sleep
No phones in bed when you turn off the light.
You'll "check one last thing", and stay up all night.
Leave phones to charge across the room,
And then, at sunrise, like a spring flower you'll bloom!
No books in bed when they seem near the end.
"Just one more page" means, "all-nighter", my friend!
Close books before bed. Finish when you wake up.
Otherwise, these lost hours, you'll never make up!
No worries in bed, if they're not yet resolved.
Into nightmares by morning, they will have evolved.
Look to him before bed, and say a few prayers.
Peace comes when you trust in "The Man Upstairs".
No anger in bed when your fury's still biting.
No rest occurs with a war to keep fighting.
Forgive before bed, and no need to count sheep.
Just close your eyes softly and drift off to sleep.
These words of advice will make bright the new day,
So heed my good counsel and then, hit the hay!
