Analysis of Want

My heart aches for your touch,
But my mind is in turmoil,
I want to be with you so much,
But my spirit is in recoil.

I know that I'm not ready,
For the kind of love you give,
My soul is still unsteady,
And this is no way to live.

I don't want anyone right now,
Not even myself, it seems,
But I'll always love you somehow,
Even if it's just in my dreams.

And if you hate me for everything,
I'll still hold you in my heart,
For the memories will forever cling,
And never truly depart.

So I'll wait until I'm stronger,
Until my spirit is renewed,
And then maybe we'll last longer,
And our love will be true.

Until then, I'll keep on loving,
Even if it's from afar,
And cherish every moment,
That we've shared thus far.
