Analysis of 911

It was a warm sunny day,
In this great country of ours,
The trees were howling,
The scent of the flowers,
Little did we know,
In the moments ahead,
The towers would collapse,
With 3000 dead,
Our country we held high,
With freedom and pride,
Suddenly attacked,
By cowards who hide,
We as a nation,
Stood tall that day,
All our petty differences,
Temporarily swept away,
We held hands and prayed,
We tightened our fist with force,
Our everyday lives,
Were strewn off course,
200 years of freedom,
Suddenly seemed fictitious,
Because of the evil men,
Whose intentions were so malicious,
Our soldiers stood up,
To defend our great land,
Men and women alike,
Called hand in hand,
A war on terrorism,
The newspapers read,
Eliminate the evil,
To avenge our dead,
Somewhere in war,
Honor has its place,
I’m afraid in this battle,
Tis simply not the case,
The terrorist exclaim,
They do it for God,
They say it’s a holy war,
They call it Jihad,
I don’t recall in the bible,
That God said to kill,
I do remember,
That he gave us free will,
These terrorists will have you believe,
That they are superior,
That all non-Muslims,
Are the ones who are inferior,
Men are created equal,
I am positive the bible reads,
Eternal damnation,
For those with evil deeds,
18 years of war,
With many lives lost,
When does it end,
And what is the cost,
We are a nation of freedoms,
We are a nation of pride,
To all the terrorists out there,
America will never run and hide.
