Analysis of Eternal

We spring into bed
for late night television
under our blanket.
Peeking at his eyes,
I wonder what his thoughts are.
We are closer now,
our last year moving further.
You may go too soon,
after this coming autumn
as laughter, sadness
and the final rains settle…
what we share is this.
Cherish this, my friend.
Our years will go on. Goodbye
may be eternal.
