Analysis of The Whispered Peace

The Whispered Peace

In the evening twilight  the sun is almost gone
Sadness overtakes me  for all the things gone wrong

Questions with no answers  things I cannot know
Waves of grief surround me  unrest fills my soul

And as the darkness sets in  and closes all around
Peace and love and goodness  seem nowhere to be found

I look above and ask my God “How can these things be so?”
And silence is the answer  amid the stars aglow

Yet, as I ponder deeper  and grapple for a sign
I feel a sense of time and peace  amid the stars that shine

There is a Silent Whisper  God’s love will never cease
And even in the midst of death  He still can bring us peace

For even in the darkness  the stars still shine above
They whisper of God’s goodness  they shout that He is Love

There is no grief, no sorrow  that His love can’t reach
There is no hate so strong  that Love cannot defeat

For long ago He conquered  the darkness and the hate
He promised us He will return  and until then we wait

He said to carry on - to love our neighbors as our own
To pray and give and help them  until He calls us home

And by this all the world will know  that love is still alive
That God still walks among us  within these troubled times
