Shaken confidence
In the city
Of broken hopes,
Where neon lights
Flicker and stutter,
Like my imagination,
Casting shadows
On the faces
Of the lost
And disoriented.

Belief evades me,
A slippery eel
Wriggling through my grasp,

Uncertain,
And vulnerable
