Analysis of Festas and Angels
Walking through the crowds
of happy people, full of smiles.
I looked around and felt like
I was young again, full of
wonder of things to come.
Children's eyes full of awe and
happy looking at the stalls
of toys and food and candyfloss.
Skipping and playing looking
good in their feasta clothes.
I looked around and stopped
and looked at this young woman
in front of me. I stared and smiled
as I looked into the face of a friend
from long ago.
But no it cannot be! As there she stood
all young and fresh while here I was
not young anymore.
She looked at me and smiled
and vanished into the crowds.
Who was she I shall never know
An angel or maybe a reminder
to call my friend of old?
Something to think about i'm sure
And yes I did give her a call.

About this poem
Last weekend on the Island where I live, we had our village festa, as we call it. And as I walked by I saw a beautiful woman who reminded me of a friend I had long ago.
