Analysis of Devil's Stream
Anthony Cochran 1982 (Chicago)
There is this stream that is like no other,
Where fog glooms over its water
It is simply called the Devil's Stream
And if you listen close you will hear it scream
It is clouded by so much darkness and fear
That just by touching the waters edge you are bound to shed a tear.
They say it has captured hundreds of lost souls
Who have refused to pay the boatman's tolls
Along its darkened banks at night
You will find glowing red eyes shining bright.
They will watch everything you do
And it's proof that the stories are true.
That this is no ordinary place
For the fear will consume and your heart will race.
So if you are chosen be prepared to pay the price
Is your life really worth the sacrifice
Or will you just become
The streams next victim
