Analysis of Beyond this

Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)

Should it be our crowning achievement

May be finding our love/life mate
With/by whom to mutually express

Expressed in our investment to take part
In the production the fruit of life in passing

This, our spiritual energy our sole endowment
In this the fleeting course

One brief exchange of the creative source
Between the love in/of life

Casting its spark in what has come to be

The blessed seed from which grows
The embryo we were once

In our receipt if we are able
Worthy and blessed to be
Gifted with another life to lead

To assist, as we are able
To shadow, teach, impel to grow
In ways we all too often cannot

Looking past the infancy as
An ancestral outgrowth

We add continuity in flow
Even beyond that which

We may never
know
