Analysis of 'Seven Golden Lamp Stands'

Seven golden lamp stands
Four horsemen in mid-flight
Seven seals are broken,
To judge the wrong from right.

Seven-headed monsters
Emerging from the sea
Ten Horns tipped with diadems
One belonged to me.

Angels blowing trumpets
Thrones surround the King
Most are chanting praises
The lesser angels sing

All the signs are here my Lord
Is it 'Apocalypse' now?
Can I take another drink
Or should I take a vow?

What I take from all of this
Amidst the nods and shrugs
One thing I know for certain is...
John had some powerful drugs.

Myths and legends, are often tribal
And maybe John's powerful drug
Came in the form of the Holy Bible...
Through a God-sent spiritual hug.

Sometimes the words flow like a murder of crows. They've held my secrets for the past 65-years. And sometimes they repeat them back to me, and laugh. more…
