Analysis of Dismissed

Dismissed from this world
as if you were trash
Given disgusted looks
as if you were a rash
Filing through a system
only interested in cash
Oh how you did burn
and how you did crash
So young, so ripe
like a blank slate
All I hear from your lips
is a whole lot of hate
Do you even know that
you're sealing your own fate
In another life or time
you could have been great
So do as your told
Try to fit into the mold
don't try to be bold
your mind has been sold
The world can be cold
Under lock and key
I wish you could see
All that you could be
If you were set free
No matter how hard you
try you cannot rewind
And as you go through this
life you may just find
That the strongest chains
are the ones in your mind
