Analysis of As the pin drops

Humanity
is a wandering stream

starting from creation
In the beginning

of the dream
of collective humanity

When pre-humans
first walked erect

Learned to run

Climbed trees
to pick fresh fruits

Escaping predators
And fought for love

In hot pursuit of life
Rising in the tide of being

To become
something greater still

After The river of souls
having run its course

We are still back
at the beginning

Tracing the current
of awakening

to its source

Winding
through existence

Like the icy blast
of banshees

Flying far and wide

Crying winds
falling from space

Blurring the lines

Of what others
call a battlefield

As souls below
Hover in the balance

To realize
They’re no longer
in control

As the pendulum
swings back and forth

Holding on
till the last breath escapes

Until you fall
over the jagged edge

Caught somewhere
Between life and death

And scavengers
comb the valley floor

Selecting
with impunity

To devour the lifelines
of the weary

Putting an end
to the misery

As the smoldering flames
Carry the stench of burning flesh

The essential truth of every battle
In the vortex we call time

Laughing at the face of death
While it spreads like cancer

Over the
now desolate countryside

The battle cries
having long since come and gone

The sickening moans
of the wounded and dying

Calling to God
in all manifestations

To bring an end
to this suffering

Lost souls in chorus
Serenade

A song of death which
Only they hear

A pin drop In the hurricane of living

As a veil of sadness reigns
bringing sorrow

In the remembrance
of the lost

Whom
we hold dear
