Analysis of Different Experiences
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
It matters not,
Who receives life blessed to get.
Growing more each day from birth.
Curious and inquisitive,
Just how this life we receive works.
To then we do begin to explore.
With more to adventure.
Beyond the comfort of our familiar doors.
Aging!
Yet ignoring the fact of this.
Only later to discover,
As time from us all passes by.
To leave in our minds,
Disbelieving as we sit.
The similar and familiar difference,
In our experiences.
Although...
Not known before we began to adventure.
With a taking steps away,
From the comfort of those doors left behind.
To find as we age and grow up to discover,
Most of us born...
Have one head.
Two eyes and ears.
A mouth to close and open.
On top of a neck.
That is attached to a body.
Sprouting two arms to bend at elbows.
With wrists to twist and hands we can,
Use our fingers to make fists.
Two legs.
And two feet with toes.
Yet still,
It is the color of our skins...
And not our minds no one sees.
Or feelings we have,
No one else is capable to feel them felt.
But expect respect to get from someone else.
Not to give it to receive.
Yet want it to have believe,
The color of one's skin...
Makes all the difference as to how we treat,
Another human being.
Although...
Will not hesitate to kiss a dog on its mouth.
After that same dog has licked its own butt!
No matter what color the dog is.
'Ancestry' or 'Ethnic' heritage.
Status!
Or who it is they had recently did,
In private a disloyal lap dance!
And people are heard passing judgement.
On everyone else yet can not accept,
Being called the hypocrites they are to be!
Making this difference to experience,
None.
Nada.
Zip-Zilch-Zero!
