Analysis of Autumn Heatwave”
The heatwave in Autumn left the leaves in disarray. Should they cling on for longer or fall away? Swirling around in the cooling sea, is really where they now should be.
But the heatwave has gifted them longer to play. A chance to defy time; longer to stay. The blazing sun warms, but the Autumn waves call. Do they hang on for longer, or decide to fall?”

About this poem
Inspired by the last minute heatwave experienced in the UK right now. Boots and loose jackets are usually apt for September, but the weather has different ideas. I created this poem (and art to go) thinking about how the seasons must feel Confused with climate change. The Autumn aren’t sure if it’s time to start falling yet. The short poem is based on this idea. ☺️
