Analysis of Within

by Andre Pierre Smith

A common glance in the mirror will
reveal an image of one's reflection
this silhouette a mere shadow of depth
at what lies beneath the complexion
Analyze the ethics deeply carved in
the conscious of your moral psyche
to create that passion to display values
exceeding expectations that might be
Appreciated for their limitations to
growth beyond an insecure mind
preventing the genuine evolution
of life's intricate artistic design
Unlearn that learned primitive pattern
this tolerance for mental regression
within is an elusive entity thriving
to make intelligence an obsession
