Analysis of AND THE ANGELS CRIED
Albanese tried to end democracy
He cheated, he defamed, he lied,
And way up there in Heaven
John Curtin most certainly cried.
Ben Chifley was teary-eyed as well
As he watched Albanese below,
Wandering how much further down
Australia's Labor Party would go.
"How much further can they sink?"
Is what the angels wanted to know,
"Just how evil is Anthony Albanese?"
Is what they all wanted to know.
He tried to take down Australia
To destroy all are dreams and hopes,
But the Aussies stood for democracy
When they passed their glorious vote,
Now Albo is sulking like a baby
Because he didn't get his evil way,
We told him surely and firmly
"Democracy is here to stay!"
Now Albo calls us all racists
Because we saw through his lies,
And as he keeps on lying now
Up in Heaven, the angels cried.
What happened to Labour and
Their long-held percentage bent?
Because anyway you play the game
Three-point four is a tiny percent.

About this poem
Australia has only ever had two great prime ministers, John Curtin and Ben Chifley. How they must have cried in Heaven when they saw what Anthony Albanese had reduced the once great Australian Labor Party to!
