Analysis of Earthquake
When the ground beneath their feet
shook,
when their homes
crumbled down,
all realised then
how fragile the planet we call home is.
Today,
so many people are scared,
their eyes wander in shock
at the damage they see.
The cries
of families
amid the rubble
break the silence,
and the calls in desperation
for the missing and the dead
fill the dusty air.
Let us embrace in our arms
those who became victims
so suddenly on that day,
let them see that
they are not alone,
let us shelter them
with our generosity.
We are one human community,
let’s help them
rebuild
and face the future
without fear.
