Analysis of Tales of the soul

Akhanani Sapepa 2003 (Port Elizabeth)

As I Sink Deep in my soul
I always find the boy who is always left alone
His thoughts were never his own
Sparked by forces one will never know

Is it my intention I am this way
Or
The influences paving the way
If the path is already set
Am I just a part of the play

In public we’re told to behave
Speak your mind but mind what you say
My thoughts are my reality
 however
Reality is not what I thought

Born to mourn the death of souls
We cry to whomever mastered their role
A gesture of love
We don’t express to those we loathe

Above as it is Below
A Dove cursed to become a crow
Tales told way before
Your ten toes ever grounded the soil

About this poem

A miasma of depression caused by questions one ask about their purpose on this Earth.
