Analysis of stubborn

I teeter the line all the time
because falling is the most tempting
that it's ever been.
Letting go and letting you
have all of my faults
would be my most favorite way
to ever lose myself.

You have no idea
how close I come
and how often
I have to call myself back
just as I'm giving myself permission
to freefall into your safety.

If I give in, I know
it's endgame.

When I said I wished
that I could wipe my slate clean
I meant it.
I wouldn't change a thing
that brought me to you
and I mean it.
I have no regrets
because not a one
was meaningless.
What I would do
is give us more time
because we both searched
for the same path
but got lost in the woods.
And even though that sucks,
that time wasn't wasted:
It had meaning.

So now it's down to
the surrender
or the stubborn fight
and which is more seductive.
