Analysis of Untitled
When you are born on this side of the border,
And it shapes your entire life.
When you hear of wars in the past … and people say ‘never again’.
Then it happens to you and the question you ask the world is ‘when is it enough’.
Have you heard the story of …
Children scripting their wills … ‘donate my clothes and give my doll to Anna’.
Hungry children in a school there for refuge, a boy stepping out to get biscuits cos there is no bread for his mum … gone to heaven when she wakes after the bomb …
That anonymous call to evacuate now in 10 minutes … and then you know while you are doing so you will be bombed.
The burns are getting 4th degree … as they test sulfurous bombs … womb to tomb, brains blown to pieces.
The safest place not safe anymore … hospitals … refugee camps.
Even a university … homes … places of memories, hopes, and dreams …
People tired, hungry, thirsty, unwashed, no connection to the world in perpetual darkness living amongst the stench of their loved ones.
Living, almost dying, everyone with someone lost … and maimed. Children with trauma that will be generational … children without parents … men called to be the pillars of steadfastness …digging and digging and pulling out people dead and alive. Still having the strength to utter beautiful words of comfort. Women who have lost the reason to live.
The world call for a ‘humanitarian pause’ …so we could feed you and then kill you. You are now at least a number in the media news – that is so careful to toe the line of dominant rhetoric.
The Highest record in history for the shortest time taken for genocide.
Time is ticking.
When the world does not care … then the oppressed are pawns of power, ego, greed, and politics … and one day … history will record … There were a resilient and remarkable people in Gaza … whose only dream was to free Palestine … from the river to the sea … but they are now all gone.
Their only rainbow was, billions across the world that didn’t say it was ‘only me’ what can I do … but came out for humanity in solidarity … Asians …Blacks, … Whites
‘Cos tears didn’t have color’ …
And to say in one voice, not in our name … we don’t win a war … with half of them children.
… Shame …
PS. Just my thoughts …
Have you heard of a victim who can constantly cut an oppressor’s, food, water, electricity, take land forcibly, abduct its people, kill, torture, rape!! Making them stateless people.
If the present war is going without heed, how much more does a State under occupation and oppression for decades go unknown …
A baby gasping for breath, a child telling their dead mum to wake up, a child asking why his brother is being buried and why is it a crime to be alive!!
But there is no right and wrong apparently …
If only the world realized, we are more similar than different … and learned the history of why shrapneled souls resist …
Peace is not complicated. Peace does not look at the color of our souls.
