Analysis of The Purple Rose Never Left To Bloom...
Robert Catron 1963 (Kansas)
It's so hard to understand this world in which we all live,
Why bad things happen to God fearing people even with all they give.
You can see the devil's evil no matter which direction you look,
He went too far this time - an innocent young life was took.
This little girl had her whole life waiting up ahead,
Now she's living with the Lord as she sleeps in her heavenly bed.
Why Lord was it time for this 10 year old little girl to die,
Couldn't you hear all of our prayers or the tears her family did cry?
All she wanted to do was roller blade around on that heartbreaking day,
Nothing she ever could've done made her deserve to die in this way,
What has happened has torn as American family completely apart,
Why couldn't her murderer just die right from the start?
He was in trouble with the law since nearly day one,
Why couldn't he have left her alone and ended his own life with a gun?
He took this little girl's life Lord - she didn't even have a chance,
Why couldn't he have just drove on by without giving her a second glance?
Lord - this is so hard for her family - but what can they do,
God please let equal justice be done Lord - done Lord by you.
Her name was Pammy Butler and she was full of love and life,
Lord she deserved to someday have children & someday be someone's wife.
I know you have a reason Lord for everything you do or say,
Lord please comfort this family in need for this Lord I pray.
So next time you see a purple rose still not quite ready to bloom,
Please remember Pammy is watching over us all from her heavenly room.
