Analysis of Blurred Memories...

Have you ever tried to get someone to stop drinking,
Then wondered - what was I thinking?
I can tell you I've been there - that's hard to say,
Eleven years ago I buried my mom from the bottles way.
I watered it down - I poured it out - I tried it all,
It just made her more mad - she would fly off the wall.
I watched her blame the whole world - except for herself,
It was hard to watch her drink her life away from a wine shelf.
At times she was happy - most times she was sad,
I watched it change her personality from good to bad.
She made us all feel guilty for making her that way,
Even thou it was her hand that held the glass and drank her life away.
After she passed away we walked thru all of the memories of childhood,
That's when it finally hit me that she had chosen her path - none of us trying to stop her would of done any good.
She wanted to die - she just had chosen the slow and numb way,
I wonder if it ever crosses her mind just how much we miss and need her today?
