Analysis of Dark to Light
I'm standing face to face with all of my demons in the way,
Ripped and torn to scattered pieces that burn every day,
Pain on my face...down my body...burning through my soul,
Enraged with shame and guilt...it all has created this dark hole,
Intoxicating my mind, body, soul and telling myself twisted lies,
These demons tearing me down till I fall to my knees and let out a cry,
I'm not worthy enough to be alive!,
In time, I heard a gentle whisper but loud as thunder..."You're my child with every reason to get up and thrive!,"
Bottom of the barrel, bottom of the pit my soul was lit and I silently scream,
Please GOD make this my last dance with the devil and put it all in a dream,
A reminder for how I was a slave to my demons and shadows,
For now in your image GOD, I look at myself with the ability to be humble and just Let Go.
