Analysis of 4th Edition
A boy and his dad on- trip—
What a glorious fellowship!
Father and son together breathing sky.
Whole white clouds lazily drifting ary.
While, laughing stream wisks along; saying, “good-bye”.
With clicking think, like good song.
Father teaching his youngster in gay.
How to land happiness in pole-lock way.
We reverse.
Some hear them talking there.
In open throat and opulent speech, "just be fair".
The boy be learning the way of dad.
The truthful man sharing with youthful kin.
Kings, to the youngster, cannot compare.
With the gentle father who's with him there- ALWAYS.
And with most wonderous mind; thoughtfulness race.
Not for one minute could these seconds replace.
Which is happier, man or boy?
The soul of the father is steeped in joy.
For he's finding out, to his heart's deepest delight.
That his son is fit for the future fight.
He is learning the glorious depths of him.
Thoughts he thinks and his every silent whim.
And he shall discover when night grows on.
How close he has grown to him-- love you, son!
A boy and his dad on-trip—
Builders of life's companionship!
Oh, envy this, as seen them there.
Under starry sky in brisk open air n' silent campfire stare.
For out of the cold, old long-ago air.
Come warm, thoughtful memory. These days use to be known.
When boy learned life lesson from father’s lips.
Only understanding his future after his past, when dad said this last:
"Please remember. Even if I'm not there, I'm always there with you. Just think of me, my son. I love you."
