Analysis of The Lone Wolf

I am misunderstood
Lost and alone in the wood

Disoriented as to which way to turn
Not knowing what I yearn

Figuring out a path to take
But always too much foliage to rake

And as I look to the sky
And see that bird flying high

The lone wolf can only sit and stare
Life's taken its toll feeling despair

In a society that you have to conform
Where individuality is not the norm

Dare to question or not follow the consensus
You will be shunned upon with its consequences

So you learn to withdraw and not face the battle
No longer be part of the everyday cattle

But somewhere you have to belong
So that in your heart you have a song

So never give up and instead climb the tree
And reach for that bird flying free

For that is where you are meant to be
And flocks will soon fly high with thee
