Analysis of Confessions

Each time I confess, I reach deep in my heart and seize what I've suppressed.

Bringing it up to the light, to be seen,
to be expressed.

The telling of things, that have stayed long unsaid---

(Like being honest, in a toxic relationship. One that has prolonged an unhealthy length)

---Things I want to admit.

Clinging to every nerve and every inch---

(inhibiting Normal mental function)

---Of the body I inhabit.

Like stubborn, native, inhabitants, who've been invaded.

Refusing to give up the home, they've laboured, to establish.

But there is no home in me, for these, savage, ravaging, ravenous, demons.

Once I start confessing, none will be breathing, none will be left.

And no more will get in any part of me
they want to invest in, rest in and mess with.

Especially the heart of me.

With these pests, I'm done.

Intervention has come. In the form of messages, protecting me, from these unwanted cretins, regression has won.

I've got confessions to mention, they're my weapons against this, depression of oppression, from endless possession, by successive aggressors, that plunge.

Excessive, countless, progressive, transgressors, deep down, in my heart.

To break in.

And prevent my confessions, from becoming stated.

They're on a constant mission, to keep me in submission.

To keep me emotionally sedated.

This is one of my confessions.

This one made it.

This time I prevailed.

Taylor Matton

I've been Writing since 2018. I prefer to call myself a writer than a poet because I write many styles of literature. I've never limited myself to just one way of using the pen. I love all kinds of writing. Most of all, I just see what I do as simply expressing my self through words and I don't really categorize my work in or to any specific genera. more…
