Analysis of Wash Away
Madelin Bragner 1995
Praying for the pain to wash away,
My broken heart feeling more and more cliche.
Your empty promises and blatant lies
Left me in bed with weeping cries.
I toss and turn but cannot sleep.
My dog cuddles up as she hears me weep.
My stomach turns as my heart drops.
What I would give to make this pain stop.
If only the pain could wash away.
