Analysis of BALANCE

Barry Green Jr 1973 (Florida)

You've taught me to keep balance
High on top that brick wall
Seemed every wind was a chance
That I could start to fall

Dad right now, I feel like I'm
Falling to that ground
 We're running out of time
Soon you'll not be around

Tell me how I balance
This wind that starts to rise
So little time to take this chance
To show what you are in my eyes

There was a little boy
In the land of long ago
You loved, brought him joy
Dad how do I let you go?

Seems like my world's falling
This time you can't catch
Again Death comes calling
His hand is on the latch

I know I'll find my balance
As a wind blows all around
I find again my staggered stance
Here high above the ground

But could you tell me a final time
That the wind can't make me fall
That if I watch every step I'm
Going to Cross this wall?
AMEN
