Analysis of Rotten Lies
Joe Strickland 1986 (Hobbysville, SC)
rotten lies
spread like wildfire,
through the cracks
of truth they seep,
twisting,
distorting,
manipulating,
until they become
the fabric of reality.
they fester
and grow,
infecting
every corner
of our minds,
creating a web
of deceit,
that we can no longer
untangle.
we are suffocated
by the stench
of these putrid
falsehoods,
decaying,
choking on the bile
of deception,
that has become
our new normal.
we must resist,
we must fight,
against the tide
of lies that drown us,
in the darkness
of falsehood,
we can still find
the faint glimmer
of truth.
can't we?
