Analysis of Calling my name

Kelley Davies 1983 (Dallas)

Calling me out

Out in the open

I can hear her voice through subtle whispers

She speaks into my ear

I want to know who she is

I want to see her breath of fire enter my lungs

I love this girl, she is an amazing being

Full of light, love and laughter

Please, God, take me to her

Take me home to her breast

Allow me to lay in her womb

I want freedom and to be set free in her arms

This sweet chariot of time won't allow me past the river of life

I only wish to be simple

I simply wish to be free

Take me there
