Analysis of The irish martyrs

Oh! how often do we recall
All those women and men
Who planned, fought, suffered,
And died to remove the invader
From our native land?
~
An objective yet to be achieved
But prevails at this very moment
And if Britain continues to deny
Democracy, alas, our martyrs
May increase.
~
For justice has to be pursued,
Democracy has to be realised,
Therefore in spite of the potential
Violence national freedom will
Continue to be sought...
~
Thus, those who, generation by
Generation, risk their lives for the
Cause of justice and peace on
Behalf of us all has to be admired
By us all !
~
And we have to be thankful that
Our martyrs born in the land of the
Gael were accompanied by others
Of various nationalities and faiths
As well as lacking faith.
~
Oh! there was James Connolly,Wolfe
Tone, Kevin Barry and Michael Devine,
Who gave their lives for the people
Of Ireland- a few of many hundreds-
Who served the welfare of us all!
