Analysis of Nobody Like A Grandma
Melita Catalina Warren 1949 (Kansas)
Nobody Like A Grandma
Her door remains open in sunshine or snow –
I visit her at her cozy bungalow.
She wears her apron, clean dress of calico,
Brings me examples of art nouveau.
Sometimes we go to the late movie show,
Then up the stairs we quietly tiptoe.
Her cheerful letters smoothly flow –
She patiently teaches when I am slow.
She stands a blessing above or below,
Navigating through each painful throe.
In Heaven my grandmother I will know -
Like a celestial angel she shall glow.
In her kind light help me learn and grow,
Until each stitch in love I sew.
