Analysis of Beauty

Liken yourself to that of a rose.
Your beauty is all that which pleases the nose.
Orange blossoms, jasmine or hot apple pie,
all gifts to the senses no one can deny.

Liken yourself to that of the sea.
Your beauty is all that your eyes care to see.
A dolphin, a rainbow, a gull soaring low,
of nature's great wonders she'll gladly bestow.

Liken yourself to that of a bird.
Your beauty is songs that our ears have all heard.
Concertos or folk songs or hard rock and roll,
the choice is our own as to what sooths our soul.

Liken yourself to all that is free.
Your beauty is peace and world harmony.
The black man, the white man, the Man up above,
the earth is a gift to be shared through our love.
