Analysis of Dirty Little Secret

he sold his soul
to a distortion
of colorful characters
it was for what it
has always been
and that was money
it was common knowledge
but rarely known
and for a fee, he would gladly share
he never stopped and wondered
what it was about her
that they were after
but its safe to say
he never really cared

she was shot dead in cold blood
bang like the crack of thunder
dragged across the concrete
and buried six feet under

he didn't know what
he had done
but once he did
he was filled with guilt
he told not a soul
his dirty little secret
and through the years
he became terrified
and overcome
with regret

if only he had known
the price he would have to pay
he never would have
sold it in the first place

he wasn't ever coming back
he unknowingly bought a one way ticket to hell
and that is where he will be staying
for a very long time
