Analysis of Only If

It was hard to comprehend at first
But not for you, I'm sure it was well rehearsed
I had a week to prepare for the worse
When you said you wanted to talk

He had you for years, I did for days
And he's coming back, so f*ck*ng a
I know, it's over, it's over, okay
I get it, it's what I signed up for

But I thought that I'd just go with it
Start anew and maybe you'd forget
I can still taste your lips from our last kiss
But you don't need me
The quintessential only if
