Analysis of The Day Bob Dylan Dies

The day Bob Dylan dies I’m going to jump on a motorcycle and roar down the highway at 120 miles an hour and scream into the wind. The day Bob Dylan dies I’m going to take 100 records and throw them like Frisbees into the ocean. The day Bob Dylan dies I’m going to play Joan Baez’s version of Diamonds and Rust all day long and I’m going to break down every time and cry and cry and cry. The neighbors will have to call the police my stereo is so loud and when they come I’m going to refuse to stop and they’re going to have to drag me kicking and screaming into the back of a car and haul me away. I’m going to paint my face with a peace sign and march down the street walking in a trail of tears. I’m going to try to sing Forever Young except that my voice will crack so badly it will sound like someone dying. The day Bob Dylan dies I’m going to take an acoustical guitar and smash it to Pete Townsend pieces over an amplifier, over a stage, over anything and everything within reach. On the day Bob Dylan dies I'm going to make sure a little piece of me goes with him.
