Analysis of the price of love

why do I miss you so much
when you don't even care
I'ts like I never lived
and we were never there
please tell what it was that we had
and why these days you seem so sad
I feel so empty always lost
why does love come at such a great cost
I remember those days you were always crying
those were the times I felt like dying
I tried every thing but there was nothing I could do
I always found myself caught up in you
life is fleeting like the roll of some dice
then in the end we all pay the price
