Analysis of Try - Free Will
Morning melodies fill the waking mind
As the daylight pushes shadows away
Brushing the cobweb dreams from the mind
Setting the pot on the stove eye to boil
Established routines take hold
And the rituals of daybreak
Beginning anew, fresh
For the quest to tomorrow
“What flavor will this day bring?”
Cheesy biscuits and grits with shrimp
Favored from a memory of ‘N'ah Leans'
Cajun friends inspired choice, chomp
‘Boo-Dan' sausage mixed in extra
Taste buds celebrate the feast
Inspires actions planned last week
Quick pack and drive off down the lane, going
To touch the view of another's dream
“Welcome back, it's been a while.”
Glory of the road with passing greens
In every shade, light and dark browns
Mix to build thoughts remembered again
Adventure of going to the unknown places
Leaving the all too familiar behind, exploring
What's next? And the mind screams freedom
Felt in the wind passing over hairy arms
Goosebumps of elation rising, carefree
Imagined wonder awaits the bold heart.
Untie the chains of your own making
Responsibilities real or imagined anchors
The road is wide, room for all who seek
Knowledge of what and who they are?
Life is as you wish it to be, live for the moment.
When I die I want to hear friends say
“He lived in the moment, unafraid to try.”
