Analysis of Wake

Pillows soaked in drunken dreams
Dip the wandering mind in wine
Let desire lick fine lips once
Or twice more, before sleep
Comes to such a halt, my heels
Leave impressions in the dust
Sharp violet eyes, round as moon
Peer through the rosy glass
And hear it shatter sunlit prisms
Across the surface of a sea of bed sheets
As one body crawls out from under
The seductive waves, and wakes.
