Analysis of weight of love
i crave you like the beggar's fruit
with both hands clutched to each wanted bite
and wear you like a tatoo
emotionally etched as a drawn bruise
or smell you like a lingered perfume
in the lint pocket of our youths
i drink you with the most essential thirst
after thousands of days walking
in Solemn's Shoes
can you feel the thickness of my callous feet
or see the sure strength my knees which hold
the heavy load of love which weighs
the thousand miles of sun you radiate
