Analysis of What

What building do you know, that has built itself?
So what of your planet, that lends you it's wealth?

What painting have you seen, that no artist claims?
So what of your world, is that not the same?

What law do you know, made without thought?
Out of what mind then, was gravity begot?

What wonders men make of stone and such things.
But what of the Rockies, or Everest in spring?

What distances we go to find our own peace.
So what of the butterfly, so what of the geese?

What angles we see when the moment has passed us.
So what of the Earth? Perfect, it's axis.

What a comfort to cry, just to release it.
So what of the desert, when the rain has relieved it?

What a view, a big city lit up in the night.
But what of the stars, what of their light?

What knowledge lies deep, in the words of wise men.
But what of the wonder, in the eyes of your children?

What a privilege it is, to be given a voice.
What better use can there be, than to stop and rejoice.
