बात पुराणी है
लोगों ने कही सुनी है
सच्ची है ये बात
गौतम बुद्ध का जन्म हुआ
पूर्णिमा की रात
उन्ही की यद् में बुद्ध पूर्णिमा
यद् करो बुद्ध की महिमा
त्रस्त था जब मानवता
अहिंसा का पाठ पढ़ाया
जब छाया था विलासिता
सन्यास का पाठ पढ़ाया
लोगों ने उनकी बात मानी
सुनी अमृत वाणी
बात पुरानी है
