Analysis of Blurry Blue

Anita Shaw 1975 (Arizona)

Humans rights vs the law
What's the world to do
Follow the rules
Rules are made for who?

Stop your under arrest
Run or shall I stay
Hands up you pass the test
I'm the law do what I say.

Routine stop..
Ends in tragedy or harm
Not everyone fights
No need to grab a neck just my arm.

The women and men in blue
Aren't all the same
Some are there to protect you
Some deserve the blame.

Walking alone
Minding my own
Someone accuses me of something
What? I'm just headed home.

Shot dead
What did I do..
Check his pockets
Nothing but skittles
Does that surprise you?

Driving along turning down the street
No signal used
My fault I shall admit defeat.

Step out of the car
Officer may I ask why
Cuz I said
Shouldn't be able to fly.

Dead an hour later
In a cell
What happened
No cameras to tell...

Now the people
See and view
A fear factor
Of the women and men in blue.
